It’s senior delegation headed by, Professor John Rosenberg Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor & Vice President and Professor Leigh Drake, Executive Dean for Faculty of Business, Economics and Law, La Trobe University visited India recently to strengthen the existing relationship with the country further.
Speaking of the visit, Professor John Rosenberg Sr. Deputy Vice Chancellor & Vice President, La Trobe University said, “I am extremely happy to visit India once again as La Trobe and India share a strong and successful association for a very long time. In our endeavour to develop new curriculum and offer something new constantly we are introducing a NEW Executive MBA for working professionals. ”
As part of the delegation, Professor Leigh Drake, Executive Dean for Faculty of Business, Economics and Law, La Trobe University visited India for the first time and seemed equally enthusiastic to meet the education fraternity here. He announced, “La Trobe has signed an articulation agreement with Presidency College, Bangalore to provide opportunities to students to experience the diverse and rich offerings at the College and University. Under the agreement the students from Presidency College will be able to study at La Trobe University, Australia after their stipulated duration at the Indian college.”
Faculty of Business, Economics and Law, La Trobe University has also announced Scholarships worth US$ 240,000/- for deserving students. These scholarships are being offered across various Masters Degree courses at the University.
During September 2013, a group of 15 Indian students and academicians from MIT School of Management, Maharashtra visited La Trobe University on a study tour. The tour proved highly successful as the group got hands-on experience of studying at the International University. This adds great, value to a curriculum through exposure to International educational standards. This Australian University has also received superior rankings in the reputed QS Rankings 2013 proving its excellence as an institution. On 13th September 2013 the La Trobe MBA has just been ranked 2nd in Victoria in the Australian Financial Reviews MBA rankings! Many of its degrees are accredited by major industry bodies such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Law Institute of Victoria, Australian Human Resources Institute, Certified Practicing Accountants Australia (CPA) etc.
During the visit, the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law are also organizing information session for the prospective students, their parents, representatives and Alumni in order to familiarise them with La Trobe University, courses offered and Scholarship opportunities. This will be a great opportunity for aspiring students to meet the faculty, existing students and Alumni and learn more about their experience at La Trobe.
