Philips Displays to Captivate the Crowds with its world class Innovations at GITEX
MMD (Multimedia Displays) a wholly-owned company of TPV established in 2009 through a brand license agreement with Philips has announced that it will participate at GITEX Technology Week, to be held from 20th October to 24th October, 2013, at Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai, UAE. At the event, MMD will showcase its broad range of innovative world class Philips Display Solutions for a variety of industry verticals and users.

“GITEX Technology Week is one of the most significant ICT shows of the year in the Middle East and it is an exciting time of the year to launch the latest Philips display products,” explained Thomas Schade, Vice President at MMD. “We will focus on providing integrated solutions at GITEX Technology Week that will drive business growth and development for regional enterprises. “The company’s booth at GITEX Technology Week will consist of an area of 48 square meters and will host the very best of Philips’ product range including IT Monitors, Signage Displays, Smart All-in-Ones, and Clinical Review Displays. Through our wide range of innovative display solutions, we today cover all major industry sectors such as Clinical, Education, Corporate, Gaming and Hospitality.”

At GITEX Technology Week 2013, the Philips Clinical Review Displays will be showcased, which are designed and certified to meet the standards of the healthcare profession, including factory-calibration for precise results and DICOM Part-14 compliant D-Image for consistent color and grayscale reproduction. Image quality is further enhanced with ultra-sharp eIPS/PLS or AMVA panels that provide the best viewing angles available. Users can also enjoy intelligent features such as AntiMicrobial housing to prevent contamination of the plastics and PowerSensor to save energy when users are away from the screen.

For the Corporate segment, the company will display 21:9 UltraWide Professional display 29” office monitor comes with innovative features such as PowerSensor, which can effortlessly reduce up to 80% of the energy cost and are equipped with advanced Multiview technology that is designed for multitasking, so that users can connect and view two different sources at the same time.

The 27” PLS Quad HD professional Philips display uses latest PLS Quad HD panel giving ultra-high-resolution brilliant wide angle images with 2560x1440 pixel resolution. Philips’ USB Docking Displays meanwhile are designed for the modern, multifunctional workplace, which can be connected with laptop by a single USB cable to reduce hassle and get instant access to all the peripherals linked to the 23-inch display.

Targeting Education sector, MMD will showcase its Smart All-in-One displays featuring Android-integrated apps for exciting multimedia, gaming and quick Internet access. These displays are also available with 2 point functionality, provide ease of use, and a seamless experience to users in internet cafés, schools or hotel lobbies, at home in the living room or children’s room.

In addition to this, the Philips ErgoSensor is the first monitor with smart features that addresses the individual ergonomic requirements and overall health. The ErgoSensor takes care of wellbeing in three key ways. It does this using a processor connected to a CMOS sensor. Sophisticated algorithms for human-

environment interaction analyses the pictures and displays a message on the screen. This smart technology updates and alerts a user about the distance it needs to maintain for watching the screen as well reminds the user to take breaks by calculating the amount of time the person had spent working behind the display.

Designed and produced specifically for Gaming, the Philips G-line displays with 144Hz refresh rates, deliver ultra-smooth, lag-free visuals for a seamless playing experience. SmartFrame lets the user highlight a selected area to bring the opponents out of the shadows, while SmartSize optimizes the aspect ratio. SmartKeypad gives quick access to SmartImage game modes as well as the on-screen display. The MHL technology displays the mobile content on the big screen and USB 3.0 gives access to all the devices and entertainment.

The company will also showcase Philips Signage Solutions and their E-line Professional displays. Philips’ E-Line range of products displays stunning full HD images and 24/7 reliability. With a wide array of connectivity options and 400–500 nit brightness throughout the range, the E-Line offers the unique combination of high performance and exceptional value. With several models also offering an OPS slot, the E-Line gives users all the flexibility they need to create a best in class signage solutions.

In addition, the company will present its portfolio, which is targeted at hospitals and other healthcare facilities including the EasySuite Healthcare TV and the wipe-clean healthcare remote control that ensures optimal hygiene.
